Organization Mission

  1. To preserve a precious part of the tropical world forever.
  2. To help reforest those areas which had been converted to cattle pasture.
  3. To Educate visitors to Protect the biodiversity for which the neotropical forests, and those in Costa Rica in particular, are so famous.

Borderless World Team

  • Planting trees to restore the native forest and habitats, as well as maintaining trees to protect saplings.
  • Trail building and ensuring that existing trails don’t become overgrown.
  • Carried out and published a socio-environmental survey to identify the impacts of tourism, agricultural waste, and the like on the people of San Gerardo.
  • Set up a local salsa making business to solve the problem of tomato waste in the region and provide the women of San Gerardo with additional income earning opportunities.
  • Participated in the Reserve’s daily activities, including tree planting, recycling, and building trails.
