The International Food Festival is an initiative taken by Borderless World Volunteers, McGill Chapter, to showcase the diverse cultures of the developing world. It is an opportunity to share the voices of the traditions in developing countries through two main modes: food and entertainment. As a student-run organization at McGill University, we aim to promote local multiculturalism and lead to the eradication of misconception towards cultural traditional practices. It looks to create a safe environment for students where they are given the opportunity to gain a different perspective on multiculturism. We are committed to reaching out to people at McGill and around the Montreal area to maintaining lasting relationships with ethnic and religious communities. We look to encourage these communities to participate fully in society by enhancing their level of social and cultural integration.
The festival is held on McGill campus, which is accessible to all citizens of Montreal as well. This year the festival will be held on February 22, 2013.
