Ghana - 2007

In 2007, three BWV members traveled to Ghana to assist a small organization called Dream African Volunteer Service (DAVS). During their stay in Ho and the surrounding villages of the Volta region, the volunteers worked in a school, an orphanage, and a women’s craft cooperative. Despite the difficulties treating the subject of reproductive health among a devote Christian community, the BWV members designed and presented a women’s seminar on family planning and the use of contraceptives to limit family size and prevent sexually transmitted diseases.
